Academic career development leads

In order to facilitate career development opportunities for early career researchers connected with NIHR infrastructure (like the Biomedical Research Centres (BRC), Applied Health Research Collaborations (ARC) and School for Primary Care Research) each NIHR centre/unit/school has a named person whose role it is to offer information and advice to those interested in and committed to a health-related research career.

These people are called NIHR Academic Career Development Leads, and they co-ordinate and contribute to various activities like: career support, training, access to leadership development opportunities, networking events, mentoring and guidance on research funding for relevant NIHR Academy members.

You can contact NIHR academic career development leads to find out more about what they can offer.
