About us
Southampton Academy of Research (SoAR) supports health professionals and scientists in Southampton to explore and pursue a career that incorporates health-related research.
SoAR provides career advice and support for those who work in health research, or aspire to do so, at University Hospital Southampton and the University of Southampton.
We help people from a wide range of professions, at every stage of their career, to achieve their research goals. This includes nurses, doctors, midwives, allied health professionals, pharmacists and scientists.
The support we offer includes one-to-one advice, funding, training and events. Our aim is to enable people to develop in their careers and thrive as researchers, helping to improve healthcare for patients now and in the future.
